Dressed in the most impressive, high-grade, thick, plush, tactile and satisfying “Mogador” cotton/linen velvet option in “Nattier” from Lelievre of Paris which, as you will see, possesses a vivid, turquiose-blue hue, and benefits from a stripe-pattern to the velvet to add real depth and detail to the pile. Whilst being as robust and hard-wearing as rhino skin, its softness and texture is simply divine to the touch. A tactile-experience like few others.

Whilst this cotton/linen velvet deliberately possesses a beguilingly-relaxed and informal appearance, this piece is in original, beautifully-maintained condition and, aside from a small number of light, superficial marks, blemishes and compression-marks (as you might reasonably expect with a piece and fabric of this colour and nature), and some gentle lightening to some areas of the velvet (particularly on isolated areas on the backrests), is nothing short of a joy and a pleasure to behold.

The vast majority of the light/dark appearance to the velvet is caused by the thick, plush pile sitting in different directions to the prevailing light, and is entirely normal with a velvet of this nature so hope this clarifies and reassures in equal-measure.

Whilst this “Mah Jong” is not without issues due to the reasons mentioned above and, to be clear, could not be considered truly-perfect by any measure (as i hope i have established at this point), i genuinely think it as well-presented as you are ever likely to find such a thing on the second-user market.

A more wonderfully-executed example of modern, informal seating is difficult to imagine and, with all of the possibilities it offers configuration-wise, is a truly accomplished and talented all-rounder.

In its current fantastic condition, it would clearly fall-short of the requirements of the true-perfectionist but, for someone looking for a piece of high-design to position at the heart of family life, it is truly heaven sent! This superb piece possesses all the beauty and majesty of the finest contemporary furniture money can buy, and is dressed in one of the most unashamedly-luxurious and satisfying fabrics imaginable.

This incredible suite consists of 10 ottoman-cushions (each measuring H-19cm x W-95cm and D-95cm), 3 backrests and 1 corner-backrest and, honestly, can be employed however you prefer. As you will see from the images provided, we have chosen to double-cushion our seats (to achieve the most-likely seat-height to be used) and have created typical L-shape configurations (as we would expect it to be used) but, in our experience, as many people choose to single-cushion the seats than do not (in order to provide huge-scale seating and create massive floor-coverage) too so, really, the possibilities are (almost) endless, and the decision as to how you use all of this exceptionally-flexible and practical seating is entirely yours.

For reference, the first configuration pictured measures H-72cm x D-190cm x W-275cm (with an ottoman sized H-38cm x W-95cm x D-95cm employed separately) with the second, longer configuration pictured measuring H-72cm x D – 190cm x W-370cm, so hope this is helpful regarding understanding its scale.

The breathtaking seating position this iconic modern-design creates is enhanced by the use of sumptuously comfortable, generously upholstered back and seat cushioning (which, as the images will confirm, is particularly soft and squishy), which leaves you powerless to resist its charms.
