As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this listing, George Sherlock pieces are the epitome of classic English furniture design, are of peerless quality (and comfortably of equivalent quality to a George Smith or Linley piece) and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard.

In a world of temporary pleasures, George Sherlock create beautiful furniture built to last a lifetime and, when dressed in this sensational cloth, there can be no more elegant, welcoming example of their talents than this. Honestly, it is beyond gorgeous.

This piece is in superb, impeccably-maintained condition showing no signs of use, and is entirely free from fault, flaw or damage. Its near-perfect order reflects the TLC and gentle, light use afforded it in the past and, aside from some abrasions and hoover-dings to the legs and castors, is as gorgeous as is possible to imagine. Simply divine.

You will recognise from the images that this is a velvet of rare quality and distinction, with a length and depth of pile rarely specified or seen, and one with such an outrageously-luxurious feel and handle that it elevates the seating-experience to something way-beyond what the majority of even the very-best of sofas can achieve.

It is also worthy of mention that, inherent to this type of fabric, you will see there is a light and dark appearance to the velvet (dependant which way the pile sits in relation to the eye and prevailing light) which we have tried to illustrate in the final four images provided (the first two of which are how the velvet looks having been sat-upon a few times, with the pile randomised as will inevitably happen) and particularly in the final two images provided,

As you will see in the penultimate image of the rear of the sofa, with the pile in one direction the fabric has a deep burnt-orange appearance whilst, with the pile in the opposite direction, it lightens noticeably (and can do so randomly through normal, residential use if not corrected, as illustrated in the final image where we have disrupted the pile of the velvet both deliberately and extremely) so, needless to say, please be aware of this when considering your purchase.

Please view the images provided to confirm its sublime condition and beguiling appearance. A more striking, elegant sofa is impossible to imagine. Personally, i do not think it possible to conceive of a sofa more-beautiful than this.

Its dimensions are H-84cm, W-244cm and D-112cm, and the breathtaking seating position this iconic design creates is enhanced by the use of sumptuously comfortable, generously-sprung back and overstuffed feather-filled seat cushions, which leaves you powerless to resist its charms. It is even-more comfortable and accommodating than it is handsome, if that were even possible.
