Textures…
That’s right friends, let’s talk about textures..
Adding texture really can elevate any room, and really can work in every single room in the house.
Whether you’re a neutral lover or a fan of something a little more bold, I’m sure we have some beautifully textured pieces of furniture for you!
Clicking on any of the images will take you directly to the product’s page on our website.
Let’s begin with one of my favourite type of textures in furniture… Bouclé, a beautifully tactile fabric.
Super soft and comfortable and can enhance a neutral room perfectly.
Starting off incredibly strong with the iconic “Charles” Sectional L-Shape Sofa (consisting of a CH228 section and a CH156S section) from the “Maxalto” range of seating from the world renown Italian furniture house of B&B Italia.
Dressed in a most-gorgeous and tactile boucle-fabric in a neutral, flexible pale-grey. Whilst being as robust and hard-wearing as rhino skin, its softness and texture is simply divine to the touch.
Supplied with numerous complimenting back cushions.
How incredibly inviting does that fabric look!
Next up on the top of the list where textures are concerned, a timeless classic for a reason… velvet!
Decadent, elegant and beautifully luxurious, velvet never fails in elevating your room with its opulent finish.
And what better way to showcase velvet than with the superb, original Ligne Roset “Andy” 3-Seat Sofa, dressed in their sublime, beguiling “Varese” Velvet fabric from Designers Guild in a rich, deep, dark-green.
Velvet in any jewel tone is *chefs kiss*.
Ligne Roset pieces are the epitome of contemporary European furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard.
And of course, last but certainly not least on our little textured showcase is the fabulous Damask.
Damasks are woven by periodically reversing the action of the warp and weft threads.
‘Damask gets its name from the ancient Syrian city of Damascus and is one of the five basic weaving techniques from early Middle Ages-era Byzantium and the Middle East.’
And what better way to showcase this beautiful material than with the spectacular George Smith “Somerville” Unbuttoned 2.5-Seat, Fixed-Back-and Seat, “Scroll-Arm” Sofa, dressed in beguiling, elegant, top-grade and sensationally-tactile “Bernini” damask linen-fabric in Pale Gold and Duck-Egg Blue.
In a world of temporary pleasures, George Smith create beautiful furniture built to last a lifetime and, dressed in this effortlessly-elegant linen, there can be no more refined example of their talents than this!
Costing in excess of £8000 when new, it represents spectacular value for money, and we have no doubt it will serve and delight its new owner for many years to come!
And there we have it friends, just a snapshot into our beautifully curated collection. And when it comes to textures, it’s safe to say we love how much they can elevate any room.

From everyone at Lord Browns.
