Acquired from a client from whom we bought some Ralph Lauren desks (which will be offered for sale imminently)on the understanding that this is a Ralph Lauren sofa aged some 10-15 years old but, as there is no RL label or plaque present, we cannot be 100% certain of this. The distressing of the leather is very much as we have seen before with RL pieces, and the build quality is very good, so are confident it is what our client purported it to be, but cannot be unequivocal. That said, this fact is reflected in the price it is being offered at as, if it were labelled, a piece of this size, beauty and condition would be marketed at twice (or more) the figure suggested.

Irrespective of its provenance, it is incredibly rare that such an beautifully-executed and presented example of such proportions should become available, and even more noteworthy when executed in this ultra-scarce, special-order, cigar leather option so, in our experience, we would expect this piece to find a new home quickly. That being the case, should you have an interest in it, don’t delay!

This peerless colossus is in terrific, impeccably-maintained condition, having seen light, regular use in its previous home since its costly purchase, with all areas largely free from fault, flaw or damage.

Its fine order reflects the TLC and considerate use afforded it in the past but, as you should realistically expect from this particularly porous and heavily-distressed leather, there is the odd obvious, visible water/oil mark to be found across its acres, and obvious signs of use and deliberate scratching/marking/distressing to the leather across the whole of the piece but, as the images will attest, these issues prove to be of modest consequence, and are mentioned purely for the purposes of accuracy.

Please view the images provided carefully to confirm its sublime, original condition and breathtaking appearance. A more impressive piece of informal seating is impossible to imagine.
