As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this listing, George Smith pieces are the epitome of classic English furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard.

Purchased from George Smith many years ago (its slim-arms suggest it is one of the earliest-incarnations of this icon), and used regularly since (as you would expect, as you do not buy a sofa such as this and not sit on it at every opportunity), it is as handsome, relaxed and refined as could be wished for, and is available for immediate delivery.
This piece is in superb, beautifully-presented condition, having been regularly employed since it left George Smith many moons ago, and is entirely free from fault, flaw or damage. However, there is some light, superficial-marking/bruising to the velvet across the frame, arms and seat-cushions in particular (which is almost inevitable with a velvet of this nature) and to the finish of the legs and castors so, clearly, whilst it could not be considered anything approaching “perfect” for these reasons (if “perfect” is your requirement, this piece really is not for you), for those of a more-philosophical disposition with a taste for the effortlessly-elegant, i have no doubt you will find it nothing short of entirely-dreamy and divine.
